Soft, festive biscuit bombs filled with spiced cream cheese and finished with a sweet glaze&perfect for holiday gatherings and last-minute treats.

I first served this to my family during Christmas and it was an instant hit with everyone asking for more.

Ingredients

  • Dough: 1 can (400 g) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g. Pillsbury Grands)
  • Filling: 120 g cream cheese, softened, 2 tbsp powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Topping: 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted, 60 g powdered sugar, 1 2 tbsp milk, 2 tbsp festive sprinkles

Instructions

Preheat:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Filling:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Prepare Dough:
Separate the biscuit dough into 12 pieces. Flatten each into a 7 cm (3 inch) round.
Fill:
Place 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese filling in the center of each round. Fold up the edges and pinch tightly to seal, forming a ball.
Arrange:
Arrange biscuit balls seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush:
Brush each with melted butter.
Bake:
Bake for 14 16 minutes, or until golden brown.

While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make a smooth glaze.
Finish:
Remove biscuits from oven, let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with glaze and decorate with festive sprinkles.
