# What You Need:
→ Cheese Buns
01 - 8 slices sharp cheddar cheese, approximately 1/4 inch thick and 3–4 inches wide
02 - Nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper
→ Pickle Layer
03 - 12–14 sandwich dill pickle slices, drained and patted dry
→ Sandwich Fillings (optional)
04 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
05 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
06 - 2 slices tomato
07 - 4 slices deli turkey or ham
# Steps:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or apply a light coating of nonstick spray.
02 - Place 4 slices of cheddar cheese on the prepared sheet, spaced evenly. Layer the pickle slices in a single overlapping layer over each cheese slice to cover most of the surface.
03 - Top each pickle-layered cheese slice with another slice of cheddar, gently pressing to sandwich the pickles.
04 - Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly along the edges, and golden brown.
05 - Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes to allow buns to set and become easy to handle.
06 - If desired, spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the inside of each cheese bun. Add tomato slices and deli meat as preferred.
07 - Carefully assemble by placing fillings between two cheese-pickle buns to form a sandwich.
08 - Serve immediately while warm and crispy for optimal texture.
